Privacy Policy

KytePush Nanny (“KytePush,” “we,” “us”) is a scheduling app that helps families and their nannies coordinate shifts, hours, and reminders. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account info — your phone number and the name you choose. We use a phone-number sign-in with a one-time code and a PIN you set.
  • Scheduling info — households, the nannies a family adds (name, phone, optional pay rate), shifts, hours worked, completion notes, and time-off requests.
  • Optional household info — details a family chooses to add, such as house notes or child profiles, visible only to that household’s caregivers.
  • Google account data — only if you choose to connect Google Calendar (see below).

How we use information

  • To provide the scheduling service and show each person only what they’re allowed to see.
  • To send SMS messages you’d expect — sign-in codes, invitations, shift requests, accept/decline notifications, and shift reminders.
  • To sync shifts to your Google Calendar, if you connect it.

Google Calendar (Limited Use)

If you connect your Google account, KytePush requests access to your Google Calendar so it can create, update, and remove the calendar events that correspond to your KytePush shifts. We store an encrypted Google refresh token to keep your calendar in sync; we never store your Google password.

KytePush’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google Calendar data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not share it with third parties except as needed to provide the calendar-sync feature you turned on. You can disconnect at any time in the app, which stops all syncing.

How information is shared

We do not sell your information. Scheduling details are shared only within your household and with the specific nanny each shift involves — a nanny never sees other nannies. SMS messages are delivered through our messaging bridge. App data is stored with our infrastructure providers (Supabase for the database, Vercel for hosting).

Data retention & your choices

  • You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from the Home tab.
  • You can log out everywhere from your account menu.
  • To delete your account and associated data, email us and we’ll remove it.

Security

Access is enforced at the database level so people only ever see their own data. Sensitive tokens are encrypted at rest. We use HTTPS for all traffic.
